Ingredients

45 Wonton wraps

Meat Filling

1 lb ground pork
1 egg
¼ lb shrimp
1 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp sugar
½ tsp sesame oil
¼ tbsp white pepper

 

Instructions

Mix the ingredients thoroughly for 3 minutes.

Place ½ to 1 teaspoon of meat filling onto one wrapper. Fold the wrapper diagonally and press gently to form a round-shaped dumpling.

Fill a saucepan halfway with water. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and bring to a full boil. Add the wontons and boil for 5 minutes, or until they float to the top.

Remove the wontons with a slotted spoon and serve over chicken soup. Add chopped green onions if desired.

For deep fried wonton: Preheat oil to 175°C (350°F). Deep-fry the wontons until golden brown. Serve with sweet and sour sauce.
